Hey All,
I'm after some help & advice on completing my build.
But first I will post 2 links.
1. For my current build - http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/373zpg
2. Is my future build - http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/C9bnXL
My plan is to removed anything that is blue in this system, I do have a budget no more than $800.00 AUD so that must include shipping i will only be using 1 shop which is PCCaseGear only.
1. I will be buying the corsair metallic sleeved cable kit so in total will be $148.00 AUD
2. Looking to buy a AIO water cool in a 360mm i would like to get the FD one but it still hasn't come out yet so that leaves me with one choice does anyone have experience with the Thermaltake Water 3.0 units.
3. Memory, I would like to put 16GB of memory in the system I understand that games will not take advantage of it but I would like to have all of the ram slots fill, so I'm looking at the corsair or the Kingston sets.
4. SSD, I would like to get an SSD to replace my Seagate 1tb hdd i'm going to be using it for games and really only games that would take more advantage of modded games like skyrim & such, I have 5 ssd i'm looking at but they all seems to be about the same. I will not be buying all of those listed just one only.
5. Fans i'm looking at buying the corsair white led 140mm fans.
6. Video Card, I'm using the ASUS GTX780 atm do you guys think I should upgrade to like a GTX970 either a Gigabyte G1 gaming or the MSI GTX970 I do like the fact that the 900 series cards use less power than the high 700 series, I have found on a warm to hot day where I am the case will get warm, not sure if that is normal cause I have never really own a high-end video card before, I will try and sell the 780 first before I buy the 970.
Your are more that happy to change the PC Part Picker list if you guys have better ideas.
Thank you all who are going to help me :)
You dont really need a 360 Aio to cool an overclocked i5.A good Aircooler like the Termalright hr 02 macho should be fine.
For the SSD i would take a look at the crucial mx100 its super cheep and performs quite good.
I would keep the 780 its still a very high performance card .And spend the saved money on a bigger SSD or a better processor like the i7 4790k
Thanks for the advice
with the 360 AIO i like the idea cause it will fill the top of the 750D just nicely i can't buy Termalright hr 02 macho as far as i know none of the australian computer shop stock that brand with the SSD is the same price as the corsair $89.00 AUD
Personally, I'd go for the Kingston RAM. I'd recommend looking at Samsung's 850 Pro SSDs.
Oh, I'd still use the one terabyte for storing most of your games unless you plan on getting an SSD with a lot of storage.
The problem is there arent a lot of 360 Aio out there.
Is a costum loop an option for you? ,so you could also cool your gpu.
I would still pick a air cooler and buy a better cpu or something from the saved money.
Thanks for the advice
I also i have a WD black 2TB HDD, the only reason why i'm changing this 1TB is cause of the age
I really want the Fractal Design 360mm AIO but it must be still under NDA or something
So for now you want to use the intel cooler and upgrade to the fractal when its out?
the Samsung PRO 850 SSDs have a ten year warranty but the samsung evo last pretty well and are quiet a bit cheaper
I'm not really sure, it should have been out bye now
Yeah the pro's are nice but there kinda out of the price range for me, maybe the evo could be a better choice since i already have one and it would kinda keep it all the same since i'm doing a themed build
Thanks for the advice
