Hi all,
My computer fans (in the case, GPU fan and my CPU heatsink) are all pretty gunked up with dust, and they've gotten fairly noisy. I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on how exactly to go about cleaning them.
Any help is much appreciated.
Canned compressed air is your best friend.
Seems simple enough. Thanks for the tip!
Chances are all the dust won't come off just from blasting some air at them, at least mine don't. I use either Q-Tips or paper toweling with some rubbing alcohol to get the rest off
Thats some pretty crazy dust, I think that Canned CO2 is all you need most of the time, though a Q-Tip might help for the thicker stuff.
Also, do it in a well ventilated area (near a window with a breeze) or with a vacuum. Or it will go everywhere!
