I’m getting some free old Cisco gear from work for a home lab 
I have a choice between a 2960-S and a 3750-X switch… I know very little about these switches and any input would be greatly appreciated.
I’m also getting an ASA 5510 and a 2900 router to setup my home lab 
same ports on both (poe etc)? which specific ones?
24 on 3750-X, 48 on 2960-S, no PoE on either.
Is it just for lab or also he network? You have high bandwidth needs ?
I decided to go with the 3750-X after I saw you mention bandwith.
I am just doing it as a lab now, but might eventually end up using it for a home network, in which case if I need more ports I could just get another 3750-X.
