So, hey guys. I need a little help in choosing a gaming budget headset since my current turtle beaches are not braided cable and the wiring is become crap now. So im looking for a gaming pc headset under a 100 dollars. I have looked at quite a few but need more info from people that have them or used them, like the corsair headsets, razer kraken pro headset, and hyper X cloud too. So help me make a choice guys, thanks.
I couldn't agree more with the last few videos tek syndicate put out. I went through a bunch of "gaming" head sets which were either hurt my ears, sounded like crap, or both. My favorite turns out to be a a pair of Sony head phones and the Mic off my webcam.
I would check out teh tek's video's on this, their options seem better then my sonys.
But a nice stand alone headphone and separate mic I think is the way to go.
yeah i dont want a shitty web cam mic and headphones. i plan on getting really good stuff late next year but for now i need to get a upgrade to my current headset that isnt that bad.
if you were paying attention to them vids

yeah i have read up up on those but idk about them. the cord isnt braided is it?
Everyone loves the hyper x pro's. I own them my self and use them for long gaming sessions. Logan,Linus and Hardwarecanuks all had positive things to say about it on there youtube channel. I did see one guy have negative things to say about the sound them saying they where not as good as beats. Seeing that beats are crap in my opinion I would ignore his review.
I also own these myself and use them for long gaming sessions. Streaming to twitch, I did a review on them myself for youtube and they have replaced my siberia v2's and became my daily drivers. I have a big head and am picky about sound and comfort. Something I have not really found both of in a gaming head sets till now. I love them and if you have any other questions about them feel free to ask.
i looked at them and look good but the cable isnt braided and thats a big deal.
Yes the cord is braided. And there is an extension with volume rocker and mic mute. That cable also has been braided. WIth both of those gives you about six feet of cable to reach your computer. If that is not enough there is another extension cable that is rubberized but feels really sturdy. That extends it out to about 10 feet. I have messed with a lot of headsets. These are as good of or really better than Astro A40's. And for there price point you get a carrying bag. Airplane adapter and 3 pole adapter for your phone or PS4 controller or whatever. And they come in just as good packaging. Its a steal
Here took pictures of mine see for yourself. Would have used imgur but it is being stupid right now. Sorry about that.

oh now i see. the other pictures couldnt really tell if it was braided or not. so are they pretty great, because right now i am using my turtle beach x12s and they seem to have the same design. also is there even a difference between the pro version and the regular ones?
As far as I know there all pro versions right now. Maybe there be a lesser version but I do think there all the same just black and white that's it. And ya the kick the crap out of anything turtle beach has. If that is all you ever used its a big upgrade. Here is Logan's review. https://teksyndicate.com/videos/hyperx-cloud-pro-gaming-headset-review-mic-test
You may also want to look into headphones and a desk mic like Logan's newest video's
im not getting into headphones and desk mics just yet. don't have the money for that right now but, I will eventually do that. I am thinking about picking these up for my xmas present. In your personal use how comfy are they cuz thats a big deal for us gamers than use them a whole lot.
They use memory foam like a temperpedic mattress. I have had them on for 6 hours at a time during the weekends quiet often. Never any pain or discomfort and like I said I am super picky. They don't clamp on your head too hard. But there is a little break in period. Only a few days. They were a little tight during that time but after that never had an issue.
They use real leather and not that fake plastic stuff like on Turtle beaches. Your ears can still get a little warm. But they do include cloth pads too that are just as good and breath a lot better.
These are the best you can get at this price point. And out do a lot more expensive headset out there like anything turtle beach has Astro's. Only when you start getting into overpriced headset like in the 300$ range can you compare them to something.
What will you be using them on?
yeah im going with the hyper x clouds or corsair 1500s headset. I will be using them for everything really but, mostly gaming.
