What I want to do is put a VERY bright led fan in the front so it glows out the side air vents (the front is covered by a sound dampening door) As to give the case some presence, while not being flashy.
but EVEN WITH the sound proof padding on the front door, I worry about noise, and don't want a loud fan to risk that.
I personally have specter pros and they're quiet and push quite a bit of air. I've never used any other fan so I can't vouch for them, but the specters are good to me.
They are not my go to fan but out of the ones on your list they are the ones I like. I usually buy BeQuiet fans but if you want LED's then those are not for you.
The only fans I've bought I havent been able to use because of bad screws in my case. So i'm not going to vouch for them.
But I can say that the Sickleflows from CM are beautiful fans. I don't know much about other's experience, but my friend has about 8 of them in his case and I can't hear them at all but put your hand in front of an exhaust and there's quite a bit of pressure there. He also uses Silverstone AirPenetrators on the push side of his H100i rad and he is quite ridiculous with his OC (I don't know numbers, last time I saw it it was roughly 5Ghz on either and IvyBridge i7 Unlocked or SandyBridge-E Unlocked)
I also believe CM is releasing an updated series to the Sickleflows soon, if not already out there.
My friend with a FT03 swears by the SilverStone Air Penetrators, and if you know that case, it only has top and bottom fan support.
OP just grab a led strip (like this) for the inside face of the front panel of the case running along side the front fan. If you find it too bright just put a dot of tape over every second light.
The light from a single led fan isnt going to spread out like you want. Fans with leds retain the most of the light for themselves.
I bought the Xigmateks and I would not recommend them. I don't feel like they moved anywhere near as much air as claimed, and I don't think they are as quiet as claimed. Also, one of the two fans that I got started making a rattling noise within a few weeks of use. The LEDs were not that bright and I did have the white ones. Overall, I would advise you to steer clear. That being said, I still think they look cool, hahaha.
Also, I have a Corsair AF 140 Red LED. I really like all of the Corsair fans that I've used (SP 120, AF 120 Red LED, AF 140 Red LED), and I don't know how they receive a lot of the negativity that they do. Maybe I've just had good luck across six different fans. Anyway, my experience has been that they move a good amount of air at very reasonable noise levels. I don't notice the noise at anything less than 60-70% load. The LEDs are not necessarily bright, but they do cast a very even glow across a surprisingly large area. The fact that the fan blades are clear really help the light spread out. Again though, I have the red LED, not the white. Hope this helps!
