Help build pc for parents

I am trying to build a cheap pc for my parents, the cheaper the better. But I do want something that will be decent for many years and reliable. They will just be using normal home applications(mostly browsing internet). Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

What budget

Less than $400 USD...Doesnt really matter, but the cheaper the better(New parts only)

@Streetguru Thanks for the help and fast reply's! Do you think an i3 is too much for them? Should I even consider a cheaper cpu or even a slightly more expensive higher end cpu? I do love intel.

an i3 should be fine for a long while, especially over a pentium. Otherwise maybe replace the hard drive with a 240gb SSD and call it a day

Ok cool thank you very much for your help

You're probably going to want a San Disk Ultra 2, seems to be a solid budget SSD, just make sure it's 500/500 on the read write whatever you get

Ok thank you very much for your help

@Streetguru Any particular reason why you went with asrock mobo and not another brand? why that particular asrock mobo?

It has decent reviews and is cheap

here is my build its about $8.00 over budget but you get a 480gb ssd and skylake wich if you needed to do a ram upgrade in the future you have the ability to do that.

@Streetguru @shadowvengence22 do you think its worth upgrading to skylake? This is an edited version of shadows suggestion. What do you guys think?

It has a rather low end board but that probably won't matter too much overall, overall it probably won't matter which way you go, though you're also missing out on USB 3.1 with that board, and it only has a single HDMI output if that ever matters, the haswell board above has VGA/DVI and HDMI out.

So no performance difference?

skylake has 5% more IPC, and probably slightly more iGPU performance, so not really no, probably just uses slightly less power as well

So skylake is slightly better....which build would you do if the mobo was changed?

Well if you go haswell and save 20 something dollars you could use that pizzas so...

Do you like this mobo? @Streetguru @shadowvengence22

Also streetguru if its only a $20 difference I would like that small performance upgrade and a little bit of "future proofing"

the IO on that's a fair bit better, no hardware is future proof lol
