Help a noob overclock a fx 6300 on an Asus m5a97 r2.0

Yes I know It is not an overclocking motherboard but It was a solid choice for my price range.  I just want to squeeze whatever power I have on my CPU to get a nice stable overclock.  I'm not looking for 6ghz on liquid nitrogen I just want at least 4ghz stable on a cooler master hyper 212 evo with low temps.  I am quite sure this combo will achieve this I heard the fx-6300 is an overclocking beast.

Also I want to OC my RAM.  It's an 8gb G.skill Ripjaws ddr3 2400 MHZ.  I know your thinking "Why the f**k does he want to OC it."  Well my motherboard only recognizes 1600 out the box and my mobo can support up to 2133.  Oh and the heatspreader is blue if that somehow helps.

Thanks for the help any input an advice is appreciated.

P.S. do i have to post my whole build I feel it's irrelevant since I showed the crucial parts.  I don't think it will make a difference If i have an LG DVD burner or a lite-on

You can do 4ghz on that mobo no problem just bump up the cpu's multiplier in the bios and stress test the cpu to see the temps it reaches.

If its too hot lower the multiplier if a core fails add a small voltage increase and stress test again.
