HELP, 6 case fans my ears are bleeding

Hey there, first post so don't hate, but recently built a gaming rig, i5 3570K Oc'ed to 4.2 Ghz with a h60 cooling it. I'm using a plait 660ti jetstream for graphics, but here's the thing, I have 6 case fans all aerocool shark 2*140mm and 4*120mm any ideas on a decent fan controller preferably something which I can set to a temp. and leave it to do its thing??

Thanks in advance

Alex

If you dont mind parting with your fans, I'd reccomend shopping for some quieter ones. Perhaps Noctua or come of the cooler master ones. What fans do you have? I think anything under 20dB is fine. Just google around for more fans. In terms of fan controllers, it depends if you want fancy or plain. Two Bitfenix ones here are pretty good IMO http://www.bitfenix.com/global/en/products/accessories/hydra-pro/ http://www.bitfenix.com/global/en/products/accessories/recon/

Hope I Helped :)

and thanks for the suggestions buts do you know of a fan controller that i will just be able to set a temp and let it regulate the fan speeds ??

cheers, Alex

I think I have a comparable setup, with fewer fans that is. My MSI 660ti is pretty quiet though. The H60 on the other hand, is pretty loud.

Do u use the fan you got with the H60? because that one is pretty loud. to control the other casefans I just use the software provided with the mobo (Asrock Xtreme Tuner). I've got everything turned down to about 30% and temps don't get above the 35C mark, and eventhough it's a foot away from me, I can't hear a thing.

If you're OCing you need to crank up that H60 and then the pump's noise becomes a factor in itself (makes a bit of a grinding noise) At a cursory glance, the fans you're using are more geared toward airflow than silence, so switching them al out for more silent fans might also be an option, but that may impact your performance.

The fans you're using are rated at 30 and 25 dB so they are a bit too loud. Go with HENN3H's advice and swap out the H60's fans if theyre the stock ones. This fan controller has temperature probes so i assume you can set up up to regulate a temperature for you... https://www.google.com/shopping/product/13287790415772403593?q=fan%20controller&hl=en&authuser=0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.&bvm=bv.1355534169,d.Yms&bpcl=40096503&biw=1422&bih=754&sa=X&ei=70PXUJz9AcWVswbWyIHADQ&ved=0CHMQ8gIwAA

Yeah your right, my 660 never cranks up above 40% fan speed but its the case fans and the h60 which are doing it, I'm using the H60 in push pull using the supplied fan and an sold fan from a previous build. As for the case fans your right, there geard for air flow.  And I choose to have so many caeca use I was working with a small case but I still wanted to have high airflow, even if I was going a little OTT.

the bit fenix recon from the first comment however looks to be in the right area, if I only it had 6 channels but I cathis that I'm sure.

you can always use splitter cables to run two fans from one chanel...

Yeah sorry that's what i meant above XD
