Hey guys, need some help, I build a computer in feb....
specs: 4770k- ,256 SSD, 2tb WD, 750ti, corsair h80i water cooler, optical drive, corsair 600W psu, Corsair vengeance 16g ram.
I want to replace my 750ti with the new asus 970 OC. Will i have enough power from my PSU to power it?
I know the new cards are super efficient. Do you think i'll need a bigger power supply, or should it be fine??.. all thoughts welcome..
thanks in advance.
Will work without any problem. With the CPU und GPU working at 100% youll probably have 200W or more to spare
How would i know that i'm under-powered?
just a question, would it just not boot?! would there be performance issues?
Unless your PSU was far, far less than enough, it would boot, just your PC would likely crash as soon as you did anything GPU-intensive.

the 970 oc draws 145w TDP
750Ti draws 60w TDP
Your whole system won't draw more than 375wTDP
+1.
If a shitty power supply, it'll blow up. But Corsair's power supplies aren't shitty.
