So I have a Cooler Master V8 on my 1155 build, and I installed it on there I'd say about a year and a half ago. Problem is now, the bottom nuts are stuck, I can't unscrew them at all. It came with some small tool, which I have lost because I'm dumb, but I found a similar tool but one of the screws is just plain old stuck on there. The heatsink sucks, it's loud, annoying, huge, and it runs hot; I want to get this thing off, but I have no idea how! Help!!
take the board out and attack it from both sides? :P
just use pliers or a rachet
what giga said. try the ratchet, with a 3 or 4 inch extension. pliers will just be a pain.
Yeah I tried pliers before and I took the mobo completely out of there, and to no avail, thing still stuck on there, it has this weird sort of presurized spring system that it attaches unto the mobo, and it's really annoying and I have a feeling it may have rusted or something, it's ridiculous.
just keep turning the nuts, keep a screw driver on the other side to keep it from turning the screw itself, just keep at it and you'll get there.
