Heat Sink question/concern

Hey guys I just got the Nocuta nh-u14s today and after I set it all up I look at my core temps and its showing that I'm idling around 36 degrees and under load in goes all the way up to 84 in prime95, this is way hotter than I want everything to be running obviously. Am I getting these temps because of a poor mount? (i didnt put that much thermal compound) or are these normal temperatures for this cooler. I'm running a i5 4670k in a define r4. Any tips/recommendations would be appreciated.

Are you overclocked?

If you have a high overclock then it might be normal but that shouldn't happen at stock speeds.

Check your mount.

Are you overclocked? as said before

and do not use prime95 on intel 4xxx series. It does bad things to teh voltage and the integrated VRM on those parts. I recommend aida64 for this reason

It's probably a bad mount-  try try again: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hNgFNH7zhQ
