Headset Replacement £50

My ASUS Echelon headset just snapped. It wasn't a particularly good headset, but it did the job. I need to replace the headset on a budget of £50 (+/- £10). I know that there's nothing in that budget that will blow my mind in terms of sound quality. I just need some recommendations for a headset that it good for heavy metal and FPS gaming. I would prefer to have a microphone.

Thanks, guys!

I was a bit desperate so I went ahead and bought a pair of Corsair Vengeance 1400. Sometimes it is good to go cheap, but I don't mind paying that little bit more for quality. Picked them up for near £40, which is reasonable. If I was going to spend more money I would pick up a good pair of studio headphones.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Superlux all the way.

and then this

Both are excellent especially for the price. You can order the Superlux on Amazon aswell, so you can get them shipped for free with the Mic.

I just went the cheap creative fatality route. Mostly because i destroy gamings sets regardless of price.

Someone recommended the Corsair 1400. It's actually quite robust. I've never had a cheap headset like it. Definitely recommend if you can find it for ~£50

I was thinking about func for the next set but they are basically a unknown. Not enough real world opinions.

If you are worried about breaking headsets, you should definitely consider this headset

It's cheap and really well built. This is my last headset, for the same approximate price, and look at the difference in design:

Ya, I mostly need the durablity. I really dont care about looks and i have a strictly audio set for music. I will take that into consideration. Thanks

Sony GA500.

Have had mine since 2011 and still works flawlessly. Very good quality in both sound and mic.
