In looking into buying some headphones or ear buds. I currently have the JVC HA-FX1X ear buds. 

I kinda prefer rear buds, because of the portability, but if the sound quality/comfort is worth it I will get some headphones. 

I am currently looking at the Sony MDR-V6s. I have heard loads of good stuff about them. I wanted some input though. 

I do not want to pay more than $70. Any suggestions?

As the owner of MDR-V6's I back this. Nothing better for the price/performance. They sound amazing, are built like a tank, and have been an industry standard of studio quality for years.
