Headphone suggestions?

Hey guys, so my G930 has been dying for the last few months and it finally kicked the bucket today. I have next to no experience with anything audio related and was hoping for some headphone suggestions, or some things to look for when shopping around. My budget is around $150, preferably closed back. I’ll be using them primarily for gaming, so maybe something with more base? I don’t have a dac, but I’m open minded about getting one if needed. Thanks!

M50x should be on sale on amazon. Usually around 150. If you can search ebay. I got a pair of Game One Sennheisers for 125., but you can find new for around 150ish

As recommended in one of their previous videos, I had grabbed the Superluxe 668B, and a modmic, which will be around 100 bucks CAD before shipping and tax (if not free shipping). I had gone from a similar headset to yours(g730 I think?) and the difference blew my mind. Regardless, don't forget to factor in the cost of mic, and shit mics will ruin the whole experience regardless of how good your headset is.

Sennheiser HD558 are also extremely popular for gaming. They're very open though, so if you need something that blocks out noise then you won't like them. If you live in a relatively quiet house like me, then you'll be fine.

My roommates have a newborn, it's mostly so that the sound doesn't bother anyone else.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I think I'm going to go with the M50x. I know that I don't NEED a DAC but does it do anything for the sound other then just pushing the volume higher?

Which country are you in? If its Australia I have a pair of M50's I dont use anymore (just bought AKG K712 Pro's) they you can have cheap if you want.

IDK why everyone recommends m50's.
