Headphone Advice

I have been considering a few different gaming headphones for my PC, but would like some advice/reviews/insight from the community. I have used Turtle Beach headphones in the past for various consoles, but I am looking to take it up a notch from my ~$60 piece of crap old headphones. Portability isn't a huge deal, but would be a plus. Ideally I would like to spend under $200 but I am open to any suggestions.

The current models I am leaning towards:

Astro A40 w/o the Mix Amp: http://amzn.to/1n7MZSS

Astro A30 with the Mix Amp: http://amzn.to/1zGh7Zs

Kingston Hyper X Cloud: http://amzn.to/1ntuiTS

first question: does it need to have a microphone?

2nd observation: you are looking at gaming companies, you should be looking at audio companies

1 advice - don't take wired headphones... take wireless. People tend to forget that they wear headphones or have to set out of pc for a sec and wired headphones are just pain. Wireless grants you freedom to move around the house.

+Don't take cheap wireless headphones or you'll regret it later with its distance/quality/connection

A microphone is completely optional. Do you have any brands you would recommend? I would love to hear from your experience with headphones.

Which brands would you recommend for a quality wireless experience? Maybe some that you have had personal experience with?

I'm using Logitech H760 (but i do not recommend as they make your upper part of ears hurt after few hours - i use it at work.) so I would recommend Logitech G930 though are different design ~ for gaming ~ a con might be weight... but i don't have it can't tell.

some brands: audio technica, akg, sennheiser

i'd probably recommend the audio technica ad700x as a good starter audiophile/gaming headphone. The ad700 were the headphones i listened to that compelled me to care about getting quality audio.  and the ad700x is supposed to sound the same, the ad700 has been discontinued.

also, i've never had a problem with wired headphones...i am not even familiar with any wireless headphones that are supposed to have good audio quality.

Thanks for the recommendations. I am going to look into the brands/models suggested and read up on some reviews.
