I cleared my WD green 2TB HDD so i could reuse it in my new pc, I now cannot read or write to the drive, can someone please help me on fixing this.

You probably need to format it.

Looks like you only have the 300MB partition mounted. This partition is probably a Windows 8 system reserved partition, therefore Windows won't be able to write it because of the "system" flag. If you want to use the 2TB partition you will need to right click it and click on change drive letter. It should present a box allowing you to create a new drive letter for it.

If you're on Linux and you haven't got it already, download gparted from the repository or from the website. If the disk isn't dead it'll sort it out. Alternatively download a copy of Hirans and run from there. Hirans has a host of other useful tools beside gparted.
