My fkn HDD just died again (2nd in three years). It's a WD Caviar Blue 500GB. I was watching videos (not porn) on the net when suddenly my chrome window froze. Later where ever I clicked it froze too. It stood there for like 15 min so I decided to restart it. After that the PC wouldn't recognize the HDD at all. I have a "good enough" PC for what I'm doing but, the PSU is pretty crappy so my guess would be either it was my fault or bad power. But i'm not sure so if you could prove any of my theory right or wrong?
if you need reliability go wit a WD caviar black. I bought mine refurbished and it hasnt given me any trouble whatsoever.
Can you boot from a usb?
