but the hd 4870 is still a beast of a card.

HIS used to have 4870's with the same clocks. And the memory bus being half the size of a 4870 makes it that much equal in benchmarks.

It's basically the HD4870/HD4850 killer with less power consumption. However with that said, it's still not worth it if you have either of those cards.

I am thinking about getting 2 of the 5770's for my next build. not sure yet. just have to wait and see what nvidia comes out with.
