Having trouble with Realtek drivers in Linux

So for the last few hours I have been trying to get my ethernet port working on my laptop. I have installed the r8101 package from the AUR and I can see the network interface for the ethernet port. The problem is I can't set it to the "up" state. Pic:

Any help would be appreciated.

Cowardly bump. I believe now the correct module is r8169, which is loaded, though I still cannot set the state to "up".

I'm not an Arch user so I'm not really any help with that part. Is there a physical button on your laptop that turns on and off your wireless card?

No it's probably a group problem. The user is not a member of the correct group.

What group would it be then?

This is the ethernet I'm trying to get working :)

@2bdkid

Have you enabled the device?

i.e; systemctl enable dhcpcd@enp3s0

It is enabled, and network manager says it acquired an ip, but still nothing on the internet loads.
