So have have Propellerhead's Balance external audio card installed on my new pc, but even though I've installed the driver needed, i don't have any sound?!
I turned all the other drivers off like on my old computer, so the pc doesn't get confused with which audio drivers to pick.
The driver for Balance are installed correctly, and windows is telling me that it all works, but it still won't give me any sound!..
Another thing is that Youtube suddenly runs in slow-motion...
I've had some weird issues when i fired it up after i got it home and used it for the first time. For example the window browser lags massively when dragged over each-other, but stand alone it smooth as butter!
PC spec:
Running Win7
MSI R9 280x twin frozer GPU
MSI H97 Gaming 3 motherboard. It uses Killer internet thingy that i don't know much about..
Intel i7 4770K
24 GB DDR3 Ram. 1600MHz. 2 sticks from Corsair (Vengeance) and the other 2 from Kingston (HyperX)
A 128GB Samsung 840 pro series SSD Basic. I've got Windows and other important stuff on this one.
A WD 1 TB SATA hard-drive + an older SATA from Seagate that i just use for storage.
Corsair TX 650 Watts PSU
I've searched google, but nothing useful came up.. '
[EDIT]
I just noticed that my download speed is leaking massively. I usually download at speeds of 3mb/s, but are now all the way down to about 500kbps or less..
hmm it sounds like audiodg.exe leaking memory, then your audio stops working.
After you rebooted the system, you still have the same issues?
Does the onboard audio works?
Yes even after rebooting the problem is there. I actually got all the needed win. updates installed not many hours ago. That didn't fix it.
And again yes, the onboard audio works :) I'm to use my studio speakers with XLR cables with the external audio card i have. Since the Catalyst center also cover some sort of audio tracking, could this be the problem?!
But what im understanding, is that your card does not work at all?

Worked just fines on the pc i just stripped for parts, so it's an internal problem in the new pc.. I dunno, it lags massively in the weirdest places/times, and the on-board audio card works, but the external audio card that is connected with USB.
The external audio card gets powers from the USB, and connects to the pc at the same time.
I took a peek on the link you gave me, and microsoft recommends a clean boot, and I'm gonna try that now.
The problem has been fixed. Although i am still experiencing some massive lag in some games, despite of a (imo) powerful pc.
Huh, that's weird. An i7 + R9 280X should be able to handle lots of games just fine.
Turns out that the Intel 3.0 USB driver was messing with my computer. Just a heads-up for anyone that think they need 3.0 USB drivers.
