Having problems getting my PC to recognize the ethernet connection

I changed routers about two weeks ago. Right now, if I reset my router, I also have to reset my PC, it won't try to reestablish connection. 20 minutes later, it still wont connect unless I reset the PC.

It shows this new router as "Network 2", I feel like there is a setting somewhere that's causing it to default to network from my original router and it's not accepting the new one but even that sounds stupid because I have it wired through an ethernet cable.

Flash router with newest Firmware. Uninstall and reinstall fresh LAN drivers.

How? I don't even know where to begin. I understand hardware, software stuff is foreign to me.

The router is pretty basic and it updated when I got it and it connects to everything else fine, except the PC.

The MSI motherboard has the Qualcomm Killer Atheros ethernet port. I pulled it up on the control panel and clicked the link it gives me for updates, but its a dead link.

Sounds like a bad network cord. Or maybe it's loose. Try using another one.
