Having joystick problems

I have a Saitek ST290 Pro. I am trying to play the Rise of Flight demo but it is impossible to play because the Z rotation (yaw) on my joystick is constantly going right. I have tried downloading drivers and calibrating but it doesn't work. I think this may be a mechanical problem, so is there a way it can be fixed? If not, it may be time for a new joystick.

Here you can see the z rotation problem.

You can always open it up to see if there's anything visibly wrong that you can fix.

Yeah, open it up.

Something might be pushed down thats not supposed to be. Just pull it up and it should be fine

Happened to my cousin once. Something was held down by some loose glue, he just pulled it off and it worked great after that.

If you're using it for the first time, (maybe you built a new PC, etc etc) it could just be a hardware compatibility issue. My Madcatz Tournament Edition only works on Intel chipset motherboards. As my current PC is an Nvidia chipset that uses a different USB controller, I'm out of luck. So I'm forced to use my other PC downstairs with the Gigabyte p45 mobo whenever I get the urge to play old Street Fighter arcade games.

Yea I cracked it open and couldnt see anything wrong with it and jiggled it around a bit but that didnt work.

Nothing wrong with the hardware because I used to use it on my computer and it worked fine.

I guess its just time for a new joystick. You guy think I might be able to pawn it for a couple of bucks?
