So, I am almost actually finished with a decent computer (Logan's "Best PC under $700) video.
I'm just waiting for my direct deposit to clear at midnight so I can buy the IceQ 7870 for $200 and finally finish this thing. Note: Please don't do what I did and buy computers piece by piece, I hope to god I don't have to RMA anything.
Anyways, like I said I haven't been able to play any hardware-intensive title in about 10 years (Fallout, Skyrim, Mass Effect, ect), and needed a recommendation list.
Chivalry Medieval Warfare, and play witcher 1 1st as the 2nd game is much better and you will expect too much from ios prequel even though it is very nice.
Yes. It's one of those games where you get dropped into the story with characters from the first game that also make refferences that you would have no clue about unless you played the first game.
Just noticed you wanted hardware intensive games. Bastion isn't particularly hardware intensive, but the visuals are actually very nice. The story is also pretty awesome. If you want a game that is more hardware intensive, I suggest Battlefield 3. I really enjoyed the 600+ hours I've put in the game.
I also hear good things about Far Cry 3. I haven't played it yet, but I will soon.
I recommend checking out some of the crysis titles if only for some eyecandy to test out your new computer. The first one is also quite fun, imo, but I haven't played the other two yet.
Whiles it doesn't have the greatest gameplay in the world, Spec Ops: The Line had a fantastic plot to drive it. I'd say it's definitely worth a single playthrough if you can get it on sale.
If Mass Effect sounds like it's up your alley in the slightest, then pull the trigger on at least the first two. Haven't played the third, but the first two are both excellent games and they look pretty damn nice when you're using decent hardware.
well that depends if there is a gaming revolution or not, if games (gennerally) continue to increase the suckage over time I'll eventually run out of old games to play and have to move on to something else, thses new games will be comparitivly more fun than the would be suck fest of the future
and I'll have trouble running things graphically intensive on my soon to be SNESPC as the max (current) GPU I can fit in it would be a 8x GT 630 GK 208
Metro 2033 I played that strate for a day manly at night play this game at 2 am it will keep you awake a haven't get last light. Also dead space is good.
I really licked empire total war not so much on Napoleon and if you like lord of the rings third age is a must.
I had a lot of fun with f1 2012 with £30 race wheel also the original grid was fun but I found it better on keybord.
Kerbal space program will be fun if you liked Lego at any time of your life
Borderlands 2 idk why but I'm addicted to that game it has a loot system like an mmo but is a first person shooter. It's good if you are looking for a game a little less serious, but I would not recomend getting it if you're expecting a good story it's more about the gameplay than the story. Also if you have some buddies on steam it's really fun coop.
I actually ended up playing it. It was really good, but seriously by the end I was so fucking tired of the dialogue it literally ruined the game for me.
It's a good game overall, but yeah I have to agree with you that it can be a bit dialogue in-depth. I remember just skipping through some of the dialogue, because I just wanted to get back out into the world and kill some more monsters or bandits.
