Haswell

With haswell having the same speeds as Ivy Bridge and a nearly identical architecture and only marginally better GPU performance, it looks a lot like a die shrink even though its not supposed to be

Opinions welcome

Supposedly the Haswell CPUs have been delayed, hopefully during this time they will tweak them some

I did hear they are trying to go more mobile with haswell instead of getting more power. So for laptops/tablets this would be really beefy. Good enough graphics(could be a bit better) and power consumption is pretty great. I would stick with ivy bridge for more enthusiast type builds, but this will have its place. Hopefully it drives the prices down for ivy bridge as well.

power consumption is one thing they did do right

Hmmm, considering this is the "tock"( new microarchitecture) part of their roadmap, I was thinking there was gonna be more big changes. But those gaming benchmarks are impressive

i would think so also, but there dont seem to be many major changes besides more graphics cores
