Haswell System

Hey guys.

I've recently ordered all the parts for my Haswell build. Here are the specs!

CPU: Intel Core i7-4770

Motherboard: ASUS H87-PRO

Cooler: Noctua NH-U12S

SSD: Samsung 840 Series 120GB

HDD: Western Digital 1TB Black

Case: Coolermaster Storm Enforcer

RAM: G-Skill Sniper 8GB 1866Mhz

DVD Drive: LiteOn 24x SATA

GPU: ASUS GeForce GTX 760 DirectCU II

extra stuff

Gelid Silent 120mm fan (x4)

NZXT 200mm white LED fan

Noctua NF-F12 120mm fan

My main priority is for no bottlenecks and a SILENT gaming operation. Is the build alright?

I don't know why you didn't go with the k version of the processor, unless it was a typo. Also, I would've gotten a 7950 over a 760, but there is nothing wrong with the build.

Very nice build, it will perform well.

I'm with nregner with the graphics card. I would have gotten a 770-80, 670-80, or a 7950-70. Especially to complement that beast cpu.

Just from what I hear on the internet, haswell doesn't overclock that well anyways. If it was a typo, then you should do fine. Just no 5ghz and have decent temps, if you know what I mean...

I don't plan to OC after killing my old CPU (i7-2600K) even with water cooling.

For the GPU, I chose NVIDIA because I wish to experiment with the new "ShadowPlay and GPU Boost 2.0" features. Thanks!

Not worth the performance loss imo, but it is your money.
