I'm considering buying Dragon Age Origins since I've never owned it because it's cheap and I want to try their platform. I thought I'd hear to some feedback (if available) of people who have bought things through their service. What do you like, what don't you like and what could be better? Thanks in advance!
i only ahve orgins for bf3 other then that i owuldnt use it for any reason it has issues up the ass or out the ass etheri way if u have the option dont use it , but thats my personal opinon osmeone else might think diffrently
Well from what I've seen, they have a policy where you can't download and install the game again after a year of owning it, so I would avoid it at all costs. See if you can find a retail copy instead. That's what I did with BF3.
I've got BF3 on origin. Origin is ok, but at the moment is doesn't have a backup feature which is what I want right now!
Origin is alright, still need a few bug fixes, like every other new software.
It got some potential
Yeah and I hate it.
In fact it's what's keeping me from playing BF3 right now.
It's a sheer inconvenience.
I pre-ordered SWTOR Digital Deluxe Edition through it
As Boov said, a nice back up feature would be nice.
I do like how you can change install directories for your games

YES, huge kudos for EA for adding that. Makes my life so much easier
Sounds ok so far. I'll research Vortex's claim which is the one thing worrying me. The backup thing should be resolved soon since it's a no brainer. Thanks for your feedback.

That's definitely true. Even though I have a physical copy, I still have the load the game through origin. If I just had to open the game through origin then that would be fine, but of course someone at EA had the great idea to have to open an internet browser before you could launch the game. The fact that I have the game installed on my SSD doesn't really matter because I have to open an internet browser, pick a server from there, and wait for EA to verify the game all before the map actually starts loading. That really pisses me off.
