tried to install ubuntu 12.04 on my pc before i crawled back to windows..8 to boot! got it for $50.

i kept getting errors, and just want to know if there is a place where i can see if my hardware is compatable?

Your parts are compatible it might actually just be either A: Your mouse or B: Your Network card. Those are the only two problems I have ever really run into with any Linux Distro. AMD is very good for Linux Distros simply because when they release drivers they are open sourced allowing the Linux Developers to write compatible and relevant updates for the rest of the community.

it could be a bios prob. is the bio uefi if so you will have to change some settings This (http://community.linuxmint.com/tutorial/view/858) should help

Where'd you get 8 for fifty bucks?

@ cadams74 - best buy black friday sale.

@devon - youre right, it doesnt detect my internet, network card is buit into my mobo.
