Halp! new build wont post

hey guys, i need some help bad! i just bought everything i needed to build my first rig and it wont post! sorry if im in the wrong place, im a newbito here.

rig:

msi 970a mobo

asus 7770 2gb

fx6300 cpu

8gb (2x4) kingston hyper x @1600

500w corsair 80+ psu

thermaltake V3 amd edition case

i set it all up and it powers up, but i get no video output! no beeps on the speeker either, and the mouse i plugged in shows power for 1 second then shuts off. i can only hope nothing is defective, and these are my only parts so i cant swap anything.

so here i am, asking the people who know more for help, any responses would be greatly apprecieated, thanks :)

Well if everything is plugged in as God commands, you are probably having trouble with your MB outdated BIOS not supporting fx6300, which is no biggy to solve, find some AM3 cpu (Sempron Athlon II, Phenom II) swap it with fx6300, download the newest BIOS from the official website, flash the bios (you can find tutorials on the internet, its simple)

Or if all this is too complicated, take the MB to the nearest PC shop, they will solve your problem in 5 minutes

Did you connect the 8-pin connector to your motherboard?

Did you plug in the 6-pin connector to your GPU?

Are you using DVI to VGA adapter? or DVI or HDMI to connect to your monitor?

Heres what you can try aswell:

Remove the RAM, try to boot it. If you can see something, its propably one stick of ram, what has a defect.

Try The other PCI slot for your GPU.

Do a CMOS reset.

Have you installed properly the motherboard into the case? YOU MUST USE STANDOFFS (those golden weird screws that came with the case). If the motherboard is touching directly any metal piece that are not standoffs it won't boot.

Do you have any boot sound at all? Did you installed the graphics card properly? Firmly until you can't see the golden area on the PCB anymore.

thanks for the responses, i made sure everything is plugged in, the big one on the side (20+4 I think it is) and the 8 pin, as well as the 6 pin on my gpu. i tried it with the standoffs in the case, and when that failed i took it out and tried to do the build on a cardboard box, to no avail. i took out the ram and still no beeps (i checked the manual for the right positioning) , then i tried 1 stick, cycleing through all the dimm ports, even switched the pci slot my gpu was in.

everything powers up (but it does need the case power sw pluged in to power on), and the fans are going good. as well i have 4 blue led's lit at the top to show that my cpu is in 4 phase power mode. the problem is, i dont really have access to another cpu, this mobo said  FX ready right on the box, as well i dont have a car so going to a shop is combersome. i think im just sol, do any of you guys have any other ideas? oh and i took out the cmos for 1 minute then re-did all those steps once that didn't work either....  must be my lucky day :)

k guys, got it working. i had to RMA it and get a new board, but my first build is fired up and now updating drivers! whoooo hoo!!!

turns out the case i have didnt need any standoffs at all. standoffs are just to prevent the back of the mobo from touching any metal on the case, in my case (pun intended) there are raised metal brackets in place of standoff's. i set it up on a box to see if it would post and voila, after some assembly, here i am writing this to you guys!
