Hi guys, I built my self three computers so far. And have been using the same Windows 7 torrent on them all via USB Flash Drive with no problems. However, for this one, it was different. When I was in the install menu to create partitions, I created one that took half the space of my HDD. And then created another for my Windows OS. I accidently clicked on the wrong partition for windows to install too. So I clicked the red X and waited for it to close. It didn't, so I shut it off via PSU. I then turn it back on, and what ever I do, it always comes with the same message, "BOOTMGR Missing". I ordered the parts from newegg and built it myself.
My main components are:
AMD A8-6400k Trinity
MSI FM2-A75MA-E35
Cosair Builder Series 430W
WD Blue 500GB 7200RPM 16MB Cache
Cosair XMS 2 x 2 GB (4gb) SDRAM DDR3 1600
Also guys, please don't give me shit about the torrent. It was a 350$ build, and I don't have any money to buy a OS. But if it's the only way to fix it I guess I will.
Ok, I did that. Now that it boots off the USB drive instead of the HDD it goes to the windows install menu. But now, at the partiton menu it's not recognizing the HDD?
Btw, I tried linux before. I didn't really like it. But I still perfer Windows.
- Try to change SATA port on your MOBO (some ports use the processors disk controller and some use your MOBOs disk controller. Usually they are colored different)
- Confirm that the disk access mode is correct for you hard drive ACHI/IDE.
Try to boot again and see if Windows can locate the disk.
Just grab a livedisk of Ubuntu or any other form of linux, and use it's disk manager to redo your partitions. Wipe them out then shut down the machine. Plug in your USB for Windows and try again.
