HALP I can't play GTAV anymore!

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=710771180

Nothing ever loads! I try all the settings and nothing works! When it did this the first time windows was bitching about my 750 GB HDD dying and it isn't bitching now! All I know is that I was able to actually play it on windows 8. I am using the latest crimson driver, my GPU has only gotten to 54 DegC, my HDD is NOT dying, and I have not overclocked anything.

All I know is I was playing this on a 250X for 2 days, then I got my 370 and I was playing it for a month straight till my HDD died.

Halp!

Edit: And I was for FACT playing perfectly fine, 1080p, 58 FPS - 62. All textures loading, no physics bugs.

No solution, just another story. Picked up Geometry Dash on the summer sale. It just won´t start! HALP!

(Can we make this the "HALP, it will not start thread"?)

(no)

ummm, this thread doesn't sound like you. Are you punking us of something

No I just have no clue what to do about this. I can't find anything that is wrong with my system that makes the game just not render. I'm also not willing to pump 3 hours into this ATM because we're moving hay on the farm. I was hoping someone would just have some rando idea.

but didn't you just say your hard drive died?

No, the first time it did this my 750GB drive had died. That ones long gone and has been replaced.

what was in event viewer?

I'm a linux user dude I don't even know where that is :P

search bar > event viewer

I'm a linux user too. Working on my A+ tho >.>

........................good point

You are first brought to the admin panel. Windows keeps logs on stuff like critical errors and failures. Kind of like dmesg but more organized. It is here that you may be able to find your problem. You'll want to see what is says before GTAV loads, and then after if crashes and it doesn't halt your system you will need to check the logs again to see the new errors which will help get us closer to finding a solution.

tldr: read logs, run GTAV, check logs for changes, look in the system tab in event viewer

I kind of want to blame drivers combined with HDD because I can't really see what would be wrong.
BRB I'll probably have questions.

I do want to note that I tried to play CS:GO after GTAV and it was crashy. Though I think it was drivers on that. I got the newest crimson line and those issues have resolved, but the render problems still happen. Anyways BRB

If graphics drivers are the problem, try uninstalling them using the DDU utility, then reinstalling them.

If you're using steam, then in the steam library:
right click a game > properties > local files > click verify integrity of game cache
That should fix anything wrong if it was due to a game.

If the issue was with the hard drive then you're going to want to scan it using microsoft system file checker.

open cmd as administrator > sfc /scannow

If you're still having problems after doing these methods report back be glad to help.
