I'm going to buy the 'Valve Complete Pack' during the winter sales. I'm planning to play the whole Half Life series, but I don't know in which order I should play.
This are the Half Life games in the package:
Half-Life
Half-Life: Source
Half-Life: Blue Shift
Half-Life: Opposing Force
Half-Life Deathmatch: Source
Half-Life 2
Half-Life 2: Episode One
Half-Life 2: Episode Two
Half-Life 2: Lost Coast
Half-Life 2: Deathmatch
I want to play every Half Life game that has something to tell about the story line (so, with every expansion). I don't know what the Deathmatch games are, and I don't know in which order I should play the expansions.
Thanks for helping :)
PS: Sorry for my bad English, I'm from Belgium and I learned English for 1 year.
Deathmatch: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Deathmatch basically deathmatch is exacty what it says.
Half-Life: Source is regular Half-Life made in the source engine. You can just skip that, it doesn't add anything. You could later on play Black Mesa, it's a lot better remake of Half-life one.
Half-Life 2: Lost Coast is just a tech demo for some Source engine new feature that they added back in the day. It doesn't add anything to the story but it is still fun to play. You could leave it to the end.
But if you remove these from the list you're good to go.
You also might want to add minerva mod to the end of the list. It's a very well made fan mod set in the HL2 world. And the guy who made it works if Valve now so it might be a sneak peak of how the next HL game will play.
