Half decent build?

Okay so this is a pc that I am gunna be building for a friend of mine, he is really into WoW and D3 and I just wanted to get another opinion on it before I started. So please leave me some comments and gimme some upgrades if you got any that will keep it around the same price. This is my first attempt at choosing parts so dont hate too hard.

I was thinking about switching out the 7750 for a 7970 but im not sure if that will bottle neck the cpu. can i get an awnser on whether or not that will happen?

This pc will be getting used for editing and rendering as well, so would it handle that alright?

That cpu is pretty crappy get the FX-4300 instead

You also want 1866 rather than 1600 for that cpu the Patriot PVI38G186C9K is fine and saves $37

you dont need such a high watt psu a 550w like the XFX P1-550S-XXB9 will be more than enough for that rig untill you get dual cards saves $35

That gpu is under powered for that cpu. You want to be spending about twice what you spent on the cpu. So something like a 7870 and with the savings above thats only $50 more. If you are gaming with two screens you want more power like a 7970.

I was thinking about switching out the 7750 for a 7970 but im not sure if that will bottle neck the cpu.

Thats not the way bottle necks work so no. It is very hard to find a game that will bottle neck on the cpu.

Please stop recommending 1866 RAM for every build. Doesn't make a lot of sense unsless it's an APU.

changed your build a bit http://pcpartpicker.com/p/rQcK

I doubt that 1866mhz ram will do him any good if he isnt going to overclock a lot. also a 7970 is not needed at all for two monitors, nobody uses two screens in eyefinity to play a game.

Hey thanks for givin me the info I needed. very helpful. just bought the updated rig and lookin forward to buildin it. Thakn again. very helpful

If he's mainly playing WoW and D3 then he won't need that much, a 7970 will definately not be necessary. 7850 would be a very good choice.

Well I just want to make sure he will be able to record/edit/render well with this build as that is what he wants to do with this pc as well. Im not all that good with knowing which parts effect that but I can put together fast which is what he wanted. Could someone please tell me if this will be able to do editing/recording/rendering fast?
