Hadron Air and GPUs

Hi everyone. I have been a long time viewer but never got around to the forum and the community and now I hope to be part of it.

Why have I decided to come here? Well I want to build myself a new PC for gaming after my console years. There are simply not enough exclusives to pull me into a console in 2014. And of course I like playing on the PC as well.Since my MacPro's GPU is getting out of shape, I will be opting for a strictly Win-machine while the Mac remains my workhorse.

The Pc is intended to be connected to my monitor, but I also want to drag it into the living room for some Controller-friendly games.

That's why I chose the Hadron Air.

Now to my question. I have searched the internet for hours but couldn't find any site/forum where someone stated what GPUs will actually fit. The EVGA forums of course tell you to take an EVGA GeForce, but I want a 280x.

Has anyone tested it and knows if it fits? I think the MSI is the shortest of the bunch. Does it fit without wiggling or do you even have to cut the left side of the frame?

I would really appreciate an answer.

Thank you all,

Moon

P.S.: feel free to post/add all cards (apart from the EVGAs) who fit or don't, and I'll try to make a list.

The only fitting R9 280X i could find was this one SAPPHIRE R9 280X (graphic card 262 mm/ Case 267 mm).

i know it's not what you wanted but i think the best card for that case is the GTX 760 mini

@Zombre: MSI is 268 (card, without mount bracket) and since 267 cards (257 without bracket?) leave some room for cables, I was wondering... Problem will be of course getting it in. So I was hoping to find someone who tried to fit something bigger in it.

@anarekist: if I was considering an miTX-sized card, I wouldn't be looking at this case. But in any case, why would you put that in it? More room for cable management or any other reason?

Oh, just found this picture. That seems to be an XFX 7970 Double D, right? 10.8 (274.3cm). I'll PM Silicus. Stumbled on it while browsing random Hadron images on Google...
