Hackintosh

Does anyone on hear have experience with building a Hackintosh? I am doing some initial research on the idea/pricing.

The build is for my fiance who is a daily mac user for her Photoshop needs with her photography business. Her current iMac is from 2010 and is only a little old i3 with 4gb of ram.

From my initial research it looks like X99 isn't fully supported yet and I would be looking at a Z97 build. I have been browsing over at http://www.tonymacx86.com/ for info but was hoping to get some input over here as well. I was kind of thinking a mATX build with WiFi and bluetooth so she can continue to use her magic mouse and what not.

I just threw this together quick this evening, but I am pretty happy with it. Obviously I like ASUS and I got a higher end case to match the "iMac" feel. Any suggests would be appreciated.

Not worth the trouble usually, either switch to windows, or a linux distro that emulates OSX and runs programs in a virtual machine

or just buy an official device

Yeah I can help you out. :P PM me

Also for about $100 more you could get a 4k 27" IPS display
