Background-----------------
Hello, I am an 16 year old fan of the tek, and i am looking for advice and help on my tech situation. First off i have owned, and destroyed, three laptops in the past three years (2 HP's & An ASUS). I also have destroyed an dell, but that one doesn't count since it was my dad's. All of them are $700-$1000 laptops that cost 1.5 times that because i got the extended warranty from geek squad(which i have used every time). I like gaming and have an gaming server. However, i'm an cheap skate when it comes to purchasing games, so i usually play Hawken, Planet-side 2, with some TF2 and a bit of modded minecraft mixed in there. I am considering purchasing BF4 or some FPS like that. I am extremely hard on laptops, and find features like an backlit keyboard, an Nvdia gpu, an i7 quad core CPU, medal chassis and full HD display necessities. And, before you say go with an desktop, i have to have an highly portable unit for school, similar to the macbook pro, but better and with windows.
I have several questions.
I have been looking into the release date of the broadwell & skylake intel core cpu's as well as hoping, with time, that nvdia 9 series gpus will trickle down to the $1000-$1500 class. I am holding out because i need an 8+ hours of battery life. I also buy surplus pc's, which r mostly E8500's but i occasionally come acrossed an i5 desktop, one of which i currently have. All the stuff i get is education grade, so i dont have anything other than dell 4:3 monitors. I was hoping to upgrade to an asus, with possibbly an LP GT750. But thats besides the point.
Issue starts---------------------------
I had an asus n56vj as my past laptop, but unfortunately it passed away with an bad HDD and an cracked screen. It also kept getting Blue screens with bad Pool Header codes. It also preformed horribly with any game that was not minecraft.

Naturally, i am in the market for an new slim portable gaming rid of awesomeness. I try to take avantage of Black friday sales and really like going with best buy, or microcenter if i have to, because there are local locations near us that provide exelent services with warranty repairs and replacements( accidental is an must have).
There are several options i face for the up coming holiday season and getting an PC.
1: buy either an, Asus,Lenovo y50, MSI GS60 ghost, or slager NP2740 with iris pro 5200 (or get one through xotic PC, even though they r really expencive)
2: Get an i5 one for $500 or less with integrated graphics on an black Friday sale, and/or get an windows tablet. Then save the big purchace for an year or two down the road.
3: Buy an dell venue 11 pro (i3) for $350 or an winbook for $200 and hold out with gaming till mid 2015.
4: live off an dell venue 8 pro till next black friday, then get the next gen y50.
Also, keeping the theme of ultra portable-ness, what would you recommend for an good school PC? i was looking at the Acer 13 inch chrome book( dont know if tegra supports ubuntu though), acer 720, dell venue 11 pro, and the winbook 10. which one is good for productivity/lite gaming. (free office on android, which will combine with chrome os)
2 last things. I heard that broad well will come in 1q of 2015, followed by the tock,(skylake) in q3 2015, do you think this is true, given the prevous 14 nm delay? and do you thing third gen to 6 gen will yeald good benifits in preformance and battery life as far as the i7's are consernes. aslo how much better is the 8 & 9 series architecture over the 6 series in the nvdia gpu line up.
