h80i v2 installed

4790k at 'stock'

34c at idle
56c at load

Did a couple of cinebench runs and never exceeded 56c

temps are nice, noise is practically non-existant

I'm happy

one thing though, dont have the corsair software installed and I think the fans are currently stuck in a low rpm mode... not that I care, just thought I would mention it.

apparently my temps are too high so I will try the corsair link software and see if the fans bein ramped up a bit makes a difference

The fan control in Corsair Link is atrocious, you're better off with the mobo cpu fan controller. I personally use AI Suite for my Asus mobo.

56 degrees Celsius at load is nothing to worry about. LOL! Just curious though how low have people gotten their temperatures to with the cooler you are talking about?

That is not high temperatures for a single 120mm cooler, it is actually pretty good.
If I were you I set fan profiles that let the cpu get up to 65-70C before it ramps up since that is still well within the tjmax of that cpu. That way you can have it very quiet.

False alarm

I didnt really know what good looked like and a couple of mates kept telling me my temps were 'off'.

been checking against online figures and it seems fine to me.

I have had a Corsair H80i running in my PC for a few of years now. It's effective is a little louder than I would like. The only thing I miss is the ability to control it as I'm running Linux. I have the USB connected and set it to "Balanced" when I ran Windows a couple of years ago.

If anyone knows if there is a way to control the H80i on Linux then I would love to heard about it.
