Which of the two is the better experience for someone who likes to solo a lot?
Day Z has too much griefing. So H1Z1 if you must, but I would suggest looking into ARK. See if you like that.
Dayz is a much better game, but H1Z1 is less buggy.

Wasteland 2 is not a survival horror? game.
Dayz is bigger in most ways. The map is bigger, more guns, more items, the graphics are better. But h1z1 has it advantages, base building and the crafting is better.
How tough are the zombies in H1Z1 and how often do you run into them?
they aren't that hard, you can one shot headshot them with a bow and they aren't that fast. As for how often you see them, they aren't scattered everywhere but usually there's quite a few.
No, but it is a pretty kick-ass post-apocalyptic-themed game. Which has far more polish.
Beware of H1Z1, Daybreak (formally known as SOE) is going through some interesting times still, so it may or may not be that great of an experience.
And H1Z1 will be free to play after the beta, if it ever leaves beta.
My vote is for Dayz Standalone, Iv been playing that and enjoy that. I have not tried h1z1 yet.
The more threatening you are or look, the more likely some one will kill on sight. the threat will always be there, but wearing civvy cloths helps a bit when dealing with strangers in non hot zones.
Dont get either, dont support early acces Money grabbing. H1Z1 will be free at launch, wait for that. Or wait untill DayZ Standalone is finished (you will be waiting a long time lol)

I dont see anything wrong with early access at all as long as they continue to be active and update regularly.
Watching a game grow as you play it can be an interesting experience as new features get added there's always something new to explore and sorta freshens up the experience. Yeah theirs bugs, and some are worse then others about it, but that's part of the risk. There are a couple early access games I play that i no longer notice that they are still early access.
I mean just look at minecraft (despite what reputation it has now, over all a success)
stick with Arma 2 DayZ mod. DayZ/DayZ Standalone aint going away any time soon. The rest are just groups trying to copy the original.
