H100 Severed Molex Cable Fix?

My H100 was working fine for about a year, but recently the molex cables have gotten severed, causing the pump to stop working (Picture in imgur link)

I've seen a couple cable fixing videos that involve just twisting matching wires together and securing them with electrical tape, but none seem to work for my case.

The actual molex connector (plastic part that holds the cables) is fine, and I have a few extras lying around. But i would need to get new connections for the end of the cables and have to solder the cables onto them, which I don't know how to do very well, and would like to avoid if possible.

Since I have some extra molex connectors from my power supply that I don't need to use, could I possibly cut the wires on the working molex connector, and just use electrical tape to connect the 2 broken molex cables to the working ones? And how would I go about doing so?

The proper thing to do is to solder them up, at-least crimp you wire splice, To just twist the wires up and tape them is really not going to last and it is a CPU cooler which is pretty important.

Soldering is not that difficult, your not doing circuit board work just a connector job it is basic.

Any recommendations for a kit to get, or a video to help me out? Thanks.

I went through a few and this is pretty good
