Hey guys im on the wall about buying 3 monitors to replace my current one (which is a tv for now) and i wanted to do gaming in NVIDIA surround (the monitors im currently looking at are 720p i think. and 22inch each.). Will my GTX 680 do it well, as in over 35 fps or so in games such as BF3 etc.
Here are my specs:
GTX 680 2GB EVGA OC 1200
FX-8350 OC 4.3ghz
8bg ram 1333mhz
Plenty of airflow in the case and a fairly cold room.
Thanks guys i really need your help on this one :)
It would prolly do well with 1080p triple monitor.
I would go for 1080's as rollymaster said and if at a later stage you could SLI
alright thanks for the imput guys :)
You won't be able to max games, but it will definitely game on them at medium settings, around 30-40 FPS.
Also, side note, what voltage is your 680 at 1200mHz? Mine rocks a 1408mHz OC at only 1.012V.
probably not. if you want to run 5760x1080 (or 3240x1920 portrait) you are going to need multiple cards or a Titan haha. Is it possible to buy another 680 OC? or maybe you should sell your card and pick up a 780.
Not maxing games, just playing them. A single 680 is fine for 5760x1080 on medium to low settings.
but cmon, do you really want to play on low settings with a baller-ass monitor setup? it kinda defeats the purpose. i would prefer a single hi-res monitor with high quality settings.
