I have a gtx970 and I tried moving it from my current pc to an older one. The older one is Striker 2 nse (790i chipset). It posts fine, but once it gets to the OS start up I start having problems. If not immediately, shortly after loading into windows my display crashes. Is this incompatible or is it something else?

yes, I tried a few.
PSU of old machine?
Drivers ~ uninstalled, cleaned (guru3d's DDU), then fresh install.
the psu is a corsair hx950
Do you have a different PCI-E slot you can try?
