Basically if the court approves, which i don't see why it wouldn't, you'll be able to sign a form to get $30 back. Serves Nvidia right for this bullshit.

Doesnt matter If you still have it you will still be eligible
Looks set to be usa only
Cri
Well yeah, it is a US lawsuit
Well ye but you'd think that if someone here sued there's a good precedent now
Laws in EU are a bit different and it may be trickier to do the same thing here... However, EU loves those kinds of things, and if there is a lawsuit in EU, there will not just be "BAD Nvidia". There will be blood.
Must resist urge for brexit joke lol
No but a free $30 is a free $30
Put it towards the Polaris 11 fund lol
Guys
I hate nvidia as a company, I admit it
I think they make fantastic hardware but I despise their working practices
I state this because even with all that in mind I still think all this crap was blown WAY out of proportion... (the 970's are awesome cards), as much in the same way as the power draw issue on the 480's.
They're both a big deal but I think the 970 is a real issue because when they launched it not only did part of the memory not work but on paper it had the same specs as the 980 minus some cores which they later revised. The 970 was nothing but false advertising and poor engineering judging whether or not it's 'bad enough to care' is unhealthy.
I must say, that i agree with you like 379 thousand percent.
However:
I damn Nvidia not because that was that much of an issue. This was pure contempt to the consumer. And the consumers did not care. 970 is still the most wide spread GPU on steam atm. Technically, the 970 have 4GB of Vram. No matter what, there are 4GB. Slow, but it's there.
But again, this was pure F U to the consumer. On top of everything else, all the gameworx and DX12 false advertising and what not, this is just another screw up on the pile. We have Vulkan and Founders Editions, and artificial scarcity in order to drive the prices up, and people still buy it.
I despise Nvidia with a passion. No matter what, they are doing brilliant marketing, and the sheeps are spreading their buttcheaks and don't even ask for it gentle... They just take it in, and Nvidia makes 5 billion profit with all false advertising and what not.
And now, even if they pay 30 million, that is nothing. They will not learn anything, and if nobody blows that out of proportions, they will do that again. I bet this is not the last time we see Founders Editions...
I own a 970, Ever since i got i always noticed that games perfumed not as well as they should have, maybe given how the GBP is going maybe ill end up with £100 from that $30 lol
Woo, a weeks worth of beer from Nvidia.
