So I just ordered a GTX 960 and was wondering if anyone had any experience with Gamestream on the Shield TV. Does it play well with Rocket League?
Rocket league works great for me(GTX 980 -> wired ethernet -> Shield TV). The only issue I had was that it mapped the controls to an unusable state when I plugged my wireless Xbox 360 adapter into the Shield TV itself. The controls on the Shield controller were fine but the second player Xbox pad was so screwed up we couldn't use it to navigate the menu to fix them. Ended up leaving the wireless receiver plugged into my PC as it's close enough to the Shield TV for the controller to work. In this configuration it works great. The latency is so low I don't notice it. I've also successfully used Moonlight on my Nexus 6 to Gamestream to it over the WiFi; provided you have a good 5ghz router and signal that works great. I have a PS4 controller with a phone mount attached to it and a short micro USB OTG to micro USB cable. There is also a way to Gamestream your desktop.
Ahh, I see. I may keep my eyes out for another Nvidia controller then, as I don't have a 360 anyway. That's good to hear though. I hadn't heard of moonlight before so thanks for that! I don't suppose you know if it's possibly to use a ps3 controller with the phone in that way do you??
I'm not sure if the PS3 controller is plug and play like that. I know there is an app called Sixaxis Controller that will let you pair the PS3 and 4 controllers with Android devices using bluetooth but I think it requires root and doesn't work with every phone. If you've got a USB OTG cable you should be able to try connecting a controller and seeing if it works.
Ok, sweet will do. I actually have a handful of them coming from gearbest but still awaiting their arrival!
