I am going to be buying a new gtx 780 in the near future. I was wondering, which one would be the best to buy for the money? I would like something closer to 500 bucks. The main factors i think are cooling, and warranty. I've heard some brands have lifetime warranties while others don't. What brand should i go with that has the best cooling solution and warrant? I was considering getting the EVGA superclocked 780 with ACX cooling because it's 499 usd right now on Amazon, and that seems to be a good price with a good cooler. Would this be a good idea?
That EVGA superclocked is a very nice gpu - great temps, reasonably low noise and EVGA's warranty department are what other companies strive to be like.
EVGA actually has 6GB versions coming out as well. They are closer to $570ish, but it may be worth worth the extra $50 for the extra VRAM, especially with crap like Watch Dogs happening.
EDIT: My mistake. That was the superclocked ACX version. The reference 6GB version is only about $30 more than the standard 3GB version.
I would say wait for the 6gb's cards. people keep saying there is no need for the 6gb cards but I eat my 3gbs of vram easily. If the 6gb was out when I got my 780 I would have snatched that up.
Other than that, you can look at the 780 classified. Amazing cooler. I pushed my 780 to the same performance, if not slightly better performance than logans 780 ti ACX.
