GTX 770 SLI Help!

Hey, I need some help.

I recently received my second GTX 770 (MSI). I installed it, put the SLI bridge on the left connectors, boot up, install the latest drivers, aaaaaand  the NVIDIA control panel tells me "To use maximum 3D performance, connect the SLI-ready graphics cards with an SLI connector." Two GTX 770 are detected but it's not telling me that they are paired in SLI, and the SLI config won't let me change the settings. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

  • My rig:
  • ASUS Z87 Deluxe
  • i7 4770k @4.5GHz
  • 16gb RAM
  • GTX 770 (2)
  • samsung 840 evo ssd
  • 750W PSU

are the 770's identical cards?

Does your control panel for SLI look like this or is the option just not there?

Yes, they are the exact MSI 2GB cards. GPU-Z indicates they are different bios revisions, but they are identical.

I had this issue too when I got my second card.  Usually reinstalling the driver fixes the issue, and gives you all that special SLI option jazz.

Best of luck!

*edit*  Make sure your SLI bridge connector is pushed in fully as well.  That may also be your issue.

No, the SLI configuration is greyed out and "Disable SLI" is the only selectable option. No green sli logo beneath the cards.

All I could think to do is reinstall drivers

I've done that a few times now. Hell, I even updated my mobo drivers, but that didn't help. Could possibly it be a bad SLI connector?

Possibly

I fixed it. The problem was, wait for it... The SLI bridge was upside down. *sigh*
