GTX 760 vs 770?

So basically my 7870(Tahiti LE) stopped working and i got refunded. I am now looking for a card to replace my old one and i noticed that the AMD cards don't really compete with nvidia around the €200-280 mark. So I have 2 options.

1. ASUS Direct CU2 GTX 760 2GB(€215)

2. PNY GTX 770 2GB(€260-280)(possible deal on atm)

I've seen reviews of gtx 760's in 2-way sli beating the titan in quite a few benchmarks. So I was thinking whether it would be better to get a gtx 760 now and get another one maybe next year when the 8xx series dropped. Any sort of information about this would be more than apreciated.

My Specs atm:

MSI 970a-g46

AMD FX-6300(stock, possible overclock when i get a card)

Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600Mhz

Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO

Single 770 > problematic SLI setup.

+1

i love my 770

I'd go with the single 770. It is a beast of a card and it isn't worth the headaches of SLIing the 760s. While I do hear they SLI better than most cards I still wouldn't go for it. Too much risk, extra noise and heat.

Also, your motherboard, it is kinda crap. They have very high rates of VRM failure and other power issues even at stock speeds. I'd really be careful OCing on that board.

I think that the 770 would be the better way to go for the next few years based on the comments and some benchmarks, thanks for the replies.

the 770 without question, a card that is capable of running all games on ultra without hurting your wallet. i have a 770 and its bloody awesome.
