So, I built my computer about 18 months ago. It has a 4770k OC'd to 4.6 Ghz, Z87 Board and 16 GB of DDR3 2400 Mhz RAM. This is my first PC build that I primarily built for everyday use and mostly gaming. Unfortunately I skimped on probably the most important part of a gaming build, the GPU. I bought a GTX 760 2GB which I haven't been happy with out of the box especially with its reference cooler which i don't think does a very good job. I haven't been able to get a stable OC with this card and I'm just wondering what tips you guys have to maximize my gaming experience since I now use a 60" 1080p 240hz TV as my monitor.
Thanks in advance for any help.
That's what I'm afraid of. I was hoping to be able to turn down settings and filters. But I guess that doesn't help me much.
I appreciate the input. Thank you very much. =)
Sell it and buy a higher end gpu. You will only go so far with an overclock.
Umm.. what??
60" 1080p TV has the same amount of pixels than a 13" 1080p laptop screen, and is a TV so it's not really doing 240 frames per second either, is only running at 60 fps.
Turning off some things in the graphics settings should be enough to raise your frame rate, depending on the game I get usually over 30 fps at 1080p with my GTX 560. Your's should be faster that that.

Keep in mind it does depend on what game you're playing. You only have 2 GB to work with. I don't know too much about the 700 series architecture so I'll just stop right here.
Pixel density does not change when you scale up the screen size.... 1920x1080 MEANS 1920x1080..
