Is the gtx 680 and a amd fx 8350 8 core a good combo for gaming/video editting?
It all depends on your budget but as how many video editing programs are starting to support OpenCL on GPUs for rendering/transcoding your best bet might be with a HD7970 and the FX-8350.
Ah well im a gamer and i also do video editting for school. Which is adobe, from what i heard takes advantage of cuda, for my video editing.
Adobe CS6 now supports OpenCL, you are better off with an HD7970 as it is miles faster than Cuda in video redering/transcoding.
