I was wondering which one would be the best bang for the buck for under $400. Also which brand/make should I get. I'm aiming to get over 30 FPS in all games. I also heard the the AMD's overclock better so thats a factor too.
best bang for your buck 7950 no questions asked.
EDIT: a word
What kind? XFX, ASUS, Gigabyte?
a 7950 is a very high end card that being said you ARE retarded if you don't overclock it.
so since you're going to over clock you need a good cooler, that keeps it cool (obviously) and quiet.

One more thing, I've been hearing alot about XFX having a locked voltage. meaning it's harder to OC. so for now i'll stay away from it.
I know from in the past i've had good things from msi, so when i build my rig @ the end of summer, i'll be using the 7950 twin frozr III
Would the ASUS Direct CU II be a good choice?
>did you go to the link?
yes the asus direct CU II is a great choice, but it's a triple slot card
Out of those definitley go Gigabyte
those meaning the link i linked
gigabyte wasn't on it.
Was supposed to be a reply to his origional question asking about which manufacturer, dont know why it was posted as a reply to you.
oh, my bad. It's hard to tell which one was a reply to anyways.
7950; you might even be able to find a 7970 for that price, if you're creative.
