I am looking at graphics cards and have narrowed it down to 2 cards. These are the NVIDIA GTX 660 and the AMD 7870. In this case, the 7870 is a Double D XFX card and the 660 is an Gigabyte. They are about the same price and from the benchmarks I have seen, the 7870 wins some of the tests and the 660 wins some of the other tests. Which would be a better investment for me? Is there another card you would recommend?

in older games such as crysis and shogun the 7870 beats it in newer games the 660 wins but I would really save the 40 bucks and get the 660Ti

again don't get wowed because something is good in crysis, crysis is a terrible game to base benchmarks on, it was very uneffeceint coding also doesn't use DX 11 tesselators
look at the new games that you are actually going to be playing the 660Ti actually has like 20-30 FPS gains on the 7870, wouldn't you say that's worth the extra 40
