Hey guys!
So I'm getting into PC Gaming quite soon! I need a GPU, and I'm looking between a GTX 650 Ti or a GTX 470, both from PNY.
The 470 is on sale right now for $130 on Newegg, and the 650 Ti is on Newegg for $140 before rebates, $120 after. I want to know which is better and will provide me more frames in games such as BF3, Skyrim, Crysis, Far Cry 3 etc., while playing at 1920x1080 resolution.
The 650 Ti: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133473&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=
The 470: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133341&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=
I won't be running in SLI or OC'ing the CPU. I might OC the GPU.
Rest of system specs: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/sBWH (disregard the warning about the mobo compatibility, many reviews online stated that it worked with the 3220 out of the box)
My budget for the GPU is no more than $140 before rebates, if there are better options than these two.
Thanks again!

The 650ti does better in everything or is similar to exept crysis, and it's much cooler. 650ti.
Dont know what you were looking at but they are nearly even on everything, and the 470 wins alot of the bench's. I would go for the 650ti only for the lower power consumption, and less heat. Since they are nearly even.
I said or similar to, and the 650 ti wins more than the 470, the only real win for the 470 is crysis.
650ti. I have a 470 sitting in my draw, on stock cooling way too hot way too loud, it will make you mental. I put an aftermarket cooler on which bought the temps down by 37c no shit. Accelero Extreme Plus. Not too mention the power draw as well.
But in all honesty if I were you I'd be thinking about saving another $80 and getting a GTX 660 which beats out the 580 in quite a few tests.
I was going to get a 660ti but I saved up the extra and got a EVGA GTX 670 FTW 2GB, I'm glad I did.
But if you are going to get a 650ti check this one out, it's factory overclocked and has 2GB vs the 1GB of that PNY.
